Good Product Quality

Some customers who reviewed the product concluded that it was good quality. Mike Nelson wrote “I should also say the crash "event" videos are only 240p and it only records for a mere 20 seconds! The picture quality is pretty good” yet he rated it 3 stars. Tellboy wrote on Amazon “With traffic stationery the quality is excellent and number plates easily visible”. The Irish Grover mentioned “I had not forgotten) I recorded same with MIO MiVue 518 a same time and quality was much better on the MIO” .

Good Size

Two ION DashCam reviewers who bought the ION DashCam agreed that it was compact. Mike Nelson mentioned on Amazon this year “The camera is nice and compact”. Mrs. Bryony A. Shaw said on Amazon this month “This dashboard camera is compact and looks smart” in their review.

One ION DashCam owner who reviewed it considered that it was tight. Robert Groom mentioned in his review of this camcorder a few weeks ago “It's long enough to run tight round the windscreen, down the door pillar” and gave the product a rating of 80 out of 100.

Easy to Use

A few people said in their reviews that this camcorder was easy to use. Mrs. Bryony A. Shaw mentioned in November “It can also be powered via a standard USB cable which might be handy if you need to replace the cable” however they scored the product 60 out of 100. This month The Irish Grover wrote in their review of the ION DashCam “Not have PC software (the only option is to use your mobile device (via wifi) or upload your video to an unaffiliated website such as www”.

One ION DashCam owner concluded that it was reliable. This year Mike Nelson wrote “Seems reliable 2” but he only gave it a rating of 60 out of 100.

Has an Image Stabiliser

Unlike most of the other video cameras that have been available for more than two years which do not have an image stabiliser, the ION DashCam has an image stabiliser.

We compared this video camera to all the other video cameras with an image stabiliser and we think the DashCam WiFi[pl_2962216_price], and the Air Pro Lite WiFi ActION[pl_2962214_price] both from ION or the Vivitar DVR936[plb_2962203_price] which has better reviews is also worth considering.

ION Video Cameras Only Have Unexceptional Reviews

ION has unexceptional average ratings across all camcorders, however it has ok ratings specifically for its video cameras.

Poor Connectivity

Several customers considered that this camcorder did not have gps. Mike Nelson wrote this month “The GPS information is not stored on the image, on the image when you view it displays in the bottom right corner the date in American format YYYY/MM/DD” in his review. Mike Nelson also wrote “None of these will show the GPS information and I can't find a single program on line which is compatible with the embedded GPS data (it is stored in the”. Mrs. Bryony A. Shaw wrote on Amazon in November this year “It also doesn't display your location or speed on the video, so I'm not sure what the GPS is used for”.

One ION DashCam owner wrote in their reviews that the product was not wifi compatible. The Irish Grover said in their review this month “Selecting HD files for wifi transfer is so slow to load the file previews on the phone for selection that it is practicably unusable” .

One ION DashCam reviewer considered that it was not good in terms of USB connections. A few weeks ago Mrs. Bryony A. Shaw scored it 60 out of 100 and mentioned in their review of this camcorder on Amazon “The end of the cable that plugs into the camera is not USB.”.
