The GZ-E105 supports a better memory card type than most video cameras that have been available for more than two years. This video camera supports an SDXC memory card, whereas most small sensor size camcorders that were released more than two years ago support an SD memory card. In addition, this JVC camcorder supports an SDHC memory card. SDXC cards are SD cards but with a much higher capacity and faster processing speeds. They have a maximum capacity of 2TB (Terabytes).
An SDXC memory card is in fact the best supported memory card type across all small sensor size camcorders that came out around the same time as the GZ-E105.
A MicroSD (Transflash) memory card is the worst supported memory card type across comparable types of camcorder.
SDHC cards are DS cards with a higher capacity of up to 32GB.
