Good Size

A few Sony HDR-CX900 reviewers wrote in their reviews that it was heavy and bulky. Socks scored the product very highly and said “It isn't so heavy that it will not be portable” in their Sony HDR-CX900 review. The Lambanana wrote in their review two years ago “Although it's not light it's not TOO heavy” and scored the product very highly.

Good Quality Lens

Some customers considered that the Sony HDR-CX900 had a good lens. Two years ago The Lambanana said “It has a ONE-inch type Exmor R CMOS sensor and a Zeiss lens with a huge optical zoom of 12x”. One Sony HDR-CX900 reviewer who purchased it reckoned that it had a good zoom. Two years ago Socks mentioned “The camcorder has a 12X optical zoom and the digital zoom is 24X”.

SDXC Memory Card

SDXC memory card

The HDR-CX900 supports an SDXC memory card which is better than most video cameras of a similar age and type to it. Most big sensor size video cameras that came out around the same time as it support an SDHC memory card. In addition, this video camera support MS PRO Duo, MS Pro-HG Duo and MS XC-HG Duo and SD memory cards. SDXC cards are SD cards but with a much higher capacity and faster processing speeds. They have a maximum capacity of 2TB (Terabytes).

An SDXC memory card is in fact the best supported memory card type amongst all big sensor size video cameras that have been available for more than two years.

Amongst similar types of camcorder the worst supported memory card type is MS Pro-HG.

SDHC cards are DS cards with a higher capacity of up to 32GB.
