Does Not Have an Image Stabiliser

The HDR-XR520 does not have an image stabiliser, although it is worth keeping in mind that most of the other camcorders of this type and age also do not have an image stabiliser.

Other video cameras which also have an image stabiliser that you might want to look at include the HDR-CX730 (£315.00), or the FDR-X1000 (£306.00) both from Sony.

The HDR-XR520 is not waterproof, although keep in mind that most of the other video cameras that were launched around the same time as the HDR-XR520 are also not waterproof.

If you want a video camera that is waterproof then you might also want to consider the Sony FDR-X1000 (£306.00).
