There are a number of other 4x digital zoom digital cameras currently available which you might want to look at including the Kodak Pixpro AZ421[plb_2515884_price], or the Nikon Coolpix P600[plb_2176383_price] which has better reviews.

The Canon PowerShot SX520 HS has a better sensor type than most cameras of a comparable spec and age to it. This camera has a MOS sensor type, whereas most bridge camera digital cameras that were launched around the same time as it have a CCD sensor type.
