We compared this camera to all the other cameras that have a CMOS sensor and we think because of it's better review score, the Fujifilm FinePix X10, and the Nikon Coolpix P510 (£293.00) is also worth considering.

If you want a digital camera with a better sensor type then you might want to look at the Nikon Coolpix S5100 (CCD), or the SeaLife DC1400 Pro Duo (CCD) which also has a higher rating.
