A number of Sigma DP2 Quattro owners who bought the product reckoned that it was able to produce good images. Pcmag.com mentioned on PC Mag two years ago “The Sigma dp2 Quattro is a strange-looking camera that captures images with an incredible amount of detail.” in their Sigma DP2 Quattro review but in spite of that they only gave it a score of 60 out of 100. Expert review site Digit.in said in October last year “Captured images have good dynamic range”. Digit.in also said “The Sigma DP2 Quattro, in our opinion, can only perform well in the hands of an experienced or extremely conscientious photographer who knows exactly what he's doing”.

One customer concluded that it had a good image sensor. Digit.in mentioned “Foveon 3 sensor is phenomenal” however despite that they gave it a score of 66 out of 100. One person concluded that it had a good ISO range.
