Expert website Pcmag.com mentioned “It's expensive.” nonetheless they rated it 5 stars. Expert website Hardwarezone.com.sg mentioned three years ago “Also the most expensive at an eye-watering S$999” in their review of the Sony DSC-RX100.

Two Sony DSC-RX100 reviewers concluded that the product was not good value for money. Pocket-Lint.com said on expert review site Pocket Lint “The Sony Cyber-shot RX100 II is all kinds of wonderful, yet all kinds of pricey too” in their review of the Sony DSC-RX100.

One Sony DSC-RX100 owner reckoned that the Sony DSC-RX100 was not a bargain for the price. Cnet.co.uk said on expert website CNET.co.uk “The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 doesn't come cheap.” in their review.
