A great electronic viewfinder that doesn't increase the size of the svelte Sony Cybershot R 100 III is one of the camera's highlights
Plus it offers excellent performance, photo and video quality
Excellent image quality
Broad feature set
Good lowlight performance
The camera shuts down when you retract the viewfinder, the autofocus system could be more consistent, and it has poor battery life
Slippery body
No touch screen
The tradeoff of the small, pocketable form is that the various function buttons are tiny, but the lensconcentric adjustment ring compensates
Pricey, slow startup and shutdown speeds, slightly bigger and heavier than previous model

Noise performance blows other compacts out of the water

On the expensive side
Tends to clip highlights, with occasional (slight) underexposure

Needs a grip, badly
