Good Quality Pictures

A number of people reckoned that it had a good image sensor. Trustedreviews.com said on expert review site Trusted Reviews last year “Has the same-size full-frame sensor as models like the Canon 5D MKIII, which you might stru” in their review of this digital camera. Expert website Digitalone.com.sg wrote in their review “It stuffed a 24.3-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor with a fast fixed 35mm f/2 lens in a compact camera body no bigger than a man's palm” . Dxomark.com said “Following the separate assessment of the modified sensor in Sony's special edition RX1R high-end full-frame compact we've now analyzed its fixed focal length Carl Zeiss Sonnar 2, 0/35 lens” in their Sony DSC-RX1R review.

A number of people who reviewed it agreed that it was able to produce good images. Expert review site Whatdigitalcamera.com said “With no anti-aliasing filter the RX1R is capable of producing highly detailed images that surpass the quality of the standard RX1”.
