Nine Vivitar V5119 owners who reviewed this digital cameras agreed that it was a bargain for the price. C. J. Elsworth mentioned in their review on Amazon “Very cheap quality”. Daryl Swann wrote on Amazon this year “Well it is cheap”. Daryl Swann also wrote “Its £10 worth of cheap tat”.

Five customers who reviewed it considered that it was good value for money. A. Walker wrote on Amazon “Great at the price”. Three years ago C. J. Elsworth said “Inserting batteties tricky and finding a card that it will read is equally difficult - not a great buy- spend more money on a better quality one” yet scored the product 40 out of 100. Easy to Use

A few customers mentioned in their reviews that this digital cameras was easy to use. Annabella rated the Vivitar V5119 99 out of 100 and said in their review of the Vivitar V5119 “He found it really easy to use and he has taken some great photos with it already”. Barbara P. wrote in her review “It takes a bit of fiddling to do it)! Other than that it's simple to use, reasonably robust” and rated the product 99 out of 100. In August Crapaud mentioned on Amazon “Handy on holiday under waterfall”.

Good Quality Pictures

Several Vivitar V5119 reviewers who reviewed it concluded that it was able to produce good images. A M Stern rated the product 4 stars and said in their review “Present for my grandson who is really keen on photography and now he has mastered it he loves it especially the colour”. Annabella wrote “He has taken some great photos with it already” in their Vivitar V5119 review. Barbara P. said on Amazon “However he got the hang of using this within about 10 minutes and happily shot pictures throughout his birthday party”.

Good Size

Some customers wrote that the product was compact. J H Russell mentioned “So pleased there is an anti wobble feature as I am not the best Photo taker! Lovely compact camera and would recommend to anyone like me”. Louise Hartgen wrote in her review of the Vivitar V5119 in August last year “I needed a compact, easy to use camera that took smaller size pictures than my iPhone”.

One Vivitar V5119 owner who bought it considered that it was lightweight. Last year Tay24 said on Amazon “Small, lightweight and easy to use” but in spite of that only gave the Vivitar V5119 a score of 3 stars.

Good Battery Life

A number of customers agreed that it had a good battery life. Carl Lofvenborg said in his review “Only downside is battery consumption which is high” and gave the product a score of 99 out of 100. Two years ago Poppy Berry mentioned in their review of the Vivitar V5119 “It has a very quick battery life, poor screen” but even so only rated the product 20 out of 100.

Robust

A number of people reckoned that it was well made. Daryl Swann mentioned in his review of the Vivitar V5119 on Amazon in August “Better build quality (trust me the build quality doesn't get much worse than this!” yet gave the product a rating of 1 stars. Two years ago Poppy Berry mentioned in their review of the Vivitar V5119 “Feels nice & solid” but despite that only gave this digital cameras a rating of 20 out of 100.

Some Vivitar V5119 owners reckoned that it had good technical guidance. Jay wrote two years ago “Pics aren't that good and is flimsy with no instructions just bear in mind that you get what you pay for” in his review although only gave it a rating of 2 stars. Louise Hartgen mentioned “The instruction manual helpfully doesn't tell you, then when we did find out you practically have to be Sampson to slide the compartment open to insert the batteries” in her review.

The Vivitar V5119 has a TFT display which is better than most compact camera digital cameras that have been on the market for around the same time as it. Most compact camera digital cameras that have been on the market for a similar time to it have an LCD display. TFT LCDs provide better image quality and higher resolutions to earlier LCD displays but their limitations are narrow viewing angles and poor vislibility in direct sunlight. Quite Small Screen Size

The smallest screen size of cameras of a comparable age and type to the V5119 is 1", the largest is 4.8", and the average screen size is 2.8". At only 1.8 inches, the Vivitar V5119 has a fairly small screen size compared to most of the other compact camera digital cameras that have been available for around the same time as the V5119.

The Vivitar V5119 has a fairly low megapixel count (only 5 megapixels) compared to most of the other digital cameras of a comparable age and type to the V5119.
