The EliteBook 820 has a better storage medium than most notebook PCs of this age and spec. This portable PC has an SSD storage medium, whereas most medium processor core notebook PCs that were released more than two years ago have an HDD storage medium. Solid State Drives (SSD) store data in semiconductors on a circuit board rather than using magnetic or optical media. Solid State Drives have no moving parts which makes them very fast and reliable.
An SSD storage medium is in fact the best storage medium amongst all notebook PCs of a comparable type and age to the EliteBook 820.
The worst storage medium amongst similar types of portable PC is HDD.
We compared this laptop to all the other portable PCs that have an SSD storage media and we think because of it's better review score, the HP ProBook 640 (£498.83) is also worth considering.
If the storage medium of this HP laptop is too bad for you then you might want to consider the Lenovo X230 (SSD), the HP EliteBook 840 (£1,514.30) (SSD), or the DELL Latitude 12 7000 (SSD).
