Three expert review sites all liked this portable PC. The writer at Apcmag.com conluded that they would highly recommend this notebook PC and gave it a "Highly Recommended" award and the expert at Hardwarezone.com.ph conluded that they would recommend it and gave it a "Recommended" award. This 2 in 1 laptop also received an "Innovative Design" award from Hardwarezone.com.sg who decided it was well designed.

The reviewer at one more expert review site wrote that this portable PC was outstanding and gave it their highest award. This notebook PC received an "Editor's Choice" award from Log.com.tr.

The writers at two other expert review sites both decided that this Sony laptop was good. 01net.com gave this Sony portable PC a "4 Star" award and it received a "Best Quality" award from Pcformat.pl.

Six Sony VAIO Duo 11 reviewers who reviewed it concluded that it was good looking. Techradar.com gave it a score of 4 stars and said on Techradar “The release of Windows 8 has heralded a host of new stylish tablets that make a pleasant change from the bland anonymous slates which have come to represent the Android market”. Techradar.com also wrote “It has a gorgeous Full HD screen, 128GB of storage, full connectivity”. Expert website Channelpro.co.uk said in the same month “The problem is that, while ingenious and beautifully formed, Sony’s decision to go the true convertible tablet route has forced it to compromise” in their review of this laptop.
