The Hotpoint UH53 has a bigger oven size than most ovens of this age and type. This oven has a Large (more than 75 l total capacity) oven size, whereas most ovens that have been around for around the same time as it have a Medium (45 - 75 l total capacity) oven size.
A Large (more than 75 l total capacity) oven size is in fact the best oven size amongst all ovens of a similar spec and age to the UH53.
A Medium (45 - 75 l total capacity) oven size is the worst oven size amongst similar types of oven.
The average width of comparable spec ovens that have been on the market for around the same time as the UH53 is 600mm. When compared to other big interior capacity ovens that were released one year ago that we have assessed the width of, the Hotpoint UH53's width of only 590 millimeters is one of the narrowest.

Poor Product Quality
One person thought the product was not good quality. Gf gave it a rating of 3 stars and wrote on Amazon “These are very poor quality and prone to break during installation” in their review of the Hotpoint UH53.
Does Not Feature Top and Bottom Heating
The Hotpoint UH53 does not feature top and bottom heating. Most of the other big interior capacity ovens that have been on the market for a comparable time to the UH53 also do not feature top and bottom heating.
Other ovens which also feature top and bottom heating that you might also want to look at include the Beko ODF21300 (£249.00) which is also cheaper.
Only Five Auto Programs
The Hotpoint UH53 is a five auto program oven.
Quite Small Primary Oven Capacity
Big interior capacity ovens that were launched more than a year ago have primary oven capacities of between 29L and 110L. At only 59 liters, the Hotpoint UH53 has a quite small primary oven capacity compared to most of the other ovens that were released around the same time as the UH53.
