The average color gamut of comparable spec PC displays that came out around the same time as the MX27 is 82%, and the color gamuts range from 68% to 110%. With a color gamut of 100 percent, the Asus MX27 has one of the largest color gamuts amongst medium monitors of this age.

The highest resolution of the Asus MX27 is 2560 x 1440. That's 78% more resolution than the most common graphics resolution of 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080). Across all PC monitors that came out in the last 12 months the worst resolution is 640 x 350 and the best is 3840 x 2160.

One Asus MX27 reviewer who purchased it mentioned that it did not have a flickering image. This month Haruna Babangida mentioned “The first of these had a flicker, probably from a faulty capacitor”.

Like most of the other medium monitors that are a similar age to the MX27, the Asus MX27 is not 3D compatible.

Does Not Have a Built-In Camera

The Asus MX27 does not have a built-in camera, although this is within the context that most of the other similar spec PC screens that have been around for around the same time as the MX27 also do not have a built-in camera.

We compared all the other PC displays which also have a built-in camera to this flatpanel monitor and we think the Lenovo X1[plb_3755263_price] which also has a higher rating is also worth considering.

Does Not Have an Integrated Card Reader

The Asus MX27 does not have an integrated card reader, although it is worth noting that most of the other medium monitors that are a similar age to the MX27 also do not have an integrated card reader.

We think you might also be interested in other PC monitors which also have an integrated card reader including the 2407WFP[pl_3247392_price], or the 2408WFP[pl_3249739_price] both from DELL which is also higher rated.

Only Has Three Cables Included

The Asus MX27 has a greater number of cables included than most LCD screens that came out around the same time as it. The most commonly found cable included is AC, but this cable included is not found on this Asus flatpanel monitor. The cables included DisplayPort, HDMI and MHL are also found on this PC screen.
