The Asus VG278 has a built-in speaker, unlike most of the other LCD screens of this age and spec which do not have a built-in speaker.

It may also be worth also looking at one of the alternative LCD screens with a built-in speaker currently available including the LG 29UB65[plb_2148069_price], or the AOC Q2770[plb_2119581_price] which has better reviews; or the NEC MultiSync EA244[plb_2270820_price] which is cheaper.
