Has a Built-In Speaker
The Benq BL2211 has a built-in speaker, as do most of the other medium monitors that have been around for a comparable time to the BL2211.
We compared this flatpanel monitor to all the other PC displays with a built-in speaker and we think the Asus VX229 (£117.97), and the NEC AccuSync AS222 (£131.94) which is cheaper; or the iiyama XU2390HS (£129.53) which has a better Rating are also worth considering.
Quite Fast Response Time
PC monitors of a comparable spec and age to the BL2211 have response times of between 1ms and 69ms, and the average response time is 6.2ms. The Benq BL2211 has one of the faster response times (only 5 milliseconds) amongst medium monitors of this age.
Very Low Power Consumption When in PowerSave Mode
At only 0.3 Watts, the Benq BL2211 has a fairly low power consumption when in PowerSave mode compared to most of the other PC monitors of a comparable spec and age to the BL2211. The Benq BL2211 is not 3D compatible. Most of the other similar spec PC monitors that are a comparable age to the BL2211 are also not 3D compatible.
If you would prefer a PC display that is 3D compatible then you might also want to look at the HP LP2065 (£110.40); or the Edge10 ES240d Slim (£113.93).
Does Not Have a Built-In Camera
Like most of the other medium monitors that came out more than two years ago, the Benq BL2211 does not have a built-in camera.
There are a number of other LCD screens which also have a built-in camera which you might also want to consider including the Lenovo L2251 (£133.92), or the HP EliteDisplay E221 (£331.09).
Does Not Have an Integrated Card Reader
The Benq BL2211 does not have an integrated card reader, although it is worth noting that most of the other medium monitors that are a comparable age to the BL2211 also do not have an integrated card reader.
Only 1680 X 1050 Pixels Display Resolution
The most display resolution of the Benq BL2211 is 1680 x 1050 pixels. That's 15% less display resolution than a 1920 x 1080 pixels PC screen, which is the most frequently found display resolution.
