HP is one of the superior LCD screen manufacturers according to average reviews from experts and owners, and HP also has good ratings for its medium monitors.

Very Many Display Colour Count

At 1,070 million, the LE2201w has a fairly many display colour count compared to most of the other LCD screens of a comparable age and spec to the LE2201w. Across all the medium monitors that were released more than two years ago the display colour counts range from 0.21M to 1,100M.

Based on two expert reviews from sites including Techradar and pcforalla.idg.se this medium monitor has an average expert rating of 60%. It seems that experts really don't rate this flatpanel monitor very highly.

Does Not Have a Built-In Speaker

The LE2201w does not have a built-in speaker, although it is worth noting that most of the other similar spec PC displays that were launched around the same time as the LE2201w also do not have a built-in speaker.

It is worth considering alternative PC screens which also have a built-in speaker including the AOC e2260Swhu[plb_1364850_price], the Samsung 320MXN-3[plb_1365711_price], or the Neovo HX-24[plb_1886037_price] which is also higher rated.

Not 3D Compatible

The LE2201w is not 3D compatible, although it is worth noting that most of the other PC screens that came out around the same time as the LE2201w are also not 3D compatible.

If you would prefer a PC monitor that is 3D compatible then you might want to look at the D2769[pl_1563236_price], or the d2757Ph[pl_1515695_price] both from AOC or the NEC MultiSync P241[plb_2071945_price] which is also higher rated.

Does Not Have a Built-In Camera

Like most of the other flatpanel monitors of this spec and age, the HP LE2201w does not have a built-in camera.

We think you might also be interested in other flatpanel monitors which also have a built-in camera including the 27" Thunderbolt Display[pl_1715481_price], or the 27" Cinema Display[pl_1999154_price] both from Apple or the HP EliteDisplay E221[plb_1556554_price] which also has a higher rating.

Does Not Have an Integrated Card Reader

The HP LE2201w does not have an integrated card reader. Most of the other PC displays that have been available for more than two years also do not have an integrated card reader.

There are a number of alternative PC screens which also have an integrated card reader that you might also want to consider including the U2413[pl_1565290_price], or the U2713H[pl_1518815_price] both from DELL or the Acer DA220[plb_1606986_price] which also has a higher rating.

The most display resolution of the LE2201w is 1680 x 1050 pixels. That's 15% less display resolution than the most frequently found display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Across all medium monitors that were launched more than two years ago the worst display resolution is 1366 x 768 pixels and the best is 2560 x 1600 pixels.

Quite Narrow Horizontal Viewing Angle

At only 160 degrees, the LE2201w has a fairly narrow horizontal viewing angle compared to most of the other medium monitors that have been on the market for around the same time as the LE2201w. At 515 millimeters, the LE2201w has a pretty standard width compared to most of the other comparable spec PC monitors that are a similar age to the LE2201w.

There are a number of other 515mm wide PC displays currently available which you might want to look at including the Samsung SMT-2232[plb_1414672_price] which has better reviews.
