One Philips 298X4QJAB reviewer thought it was not thick. Techradar.com mentioned in their Philips 298X4QJAB review on expert website Techradar “A thick alphanumeric naming soup is unfortunately par for the course for PC monitors”.

Not 3D Compatible

The 298X4QJAB is not 3D compatible, although keep in mind that most of the other comparable spec PC displays that have been on the market for more than two years are also not 3D compatible.

If you want a flatpanel monitor that is 3D compatible then you might want to look at the Asus VG23AH, the AOC d2757Ph, or the Benq XL2411T which also has a higher rating.

The 298X4QJAB does not have a built-in camera. Most of the other medium monitors that were released more than two years ago also do not have a built-in camera.

It is worth also looking at alternative PC displays which also have a built-in camera including the 241P4QPY, or the 231C5 both from Philips or the Asus MK241 which is also higher rated.

Good Price for the 29 ultra wide monitor
Bright Colors are great
Has speakers which are pretty good if limited to space on deck
Cheaper then the 29 in LG I have looks almost the same
NO MAC SOFTWARE TO SPLIT SCREENS (LG HAS IT
So to do that you have to buy it from apps store or use the free one
All black but I knew that when I got it , just needs a pretty frame in silver would've been nice
Also would've been nice if they would've put the right cables mini display port one and not the HDMI as the mac reads it as a TV NOT PRETTY THEN
