The Viewsonic VX2263 has a maximum contrast ratio of 50000000:1. That's over two times the contrast ratio of a 20000000:1 LCD screen, which is the most common contrast ratio. Across all medium monitors that have been on the market for a comparable time to the VX2263 the contrast ratio ranges from Mega Contrast to 100000000:1.
There are a number of other PC screens that have a 50000000:1 dynamic contrast ratio currently available which you might want to look at including the I2276 (£92.99), or the i2476 (£104.99) both from AOC which has a better Rating.
If the contrast ratio of this PC display is not high enough for you then you might also want to consider the Asus VE228DR (80000000:1 and cheaper) or the AOC G2460 (£189.56) (80000000:1 and higher rated), or the Asus VN247 (£142.44) (80000000:1 and higher rated).
