Good Brand

Acer 10000:1 contrast ratio projectors have good ratings on average and across all projectors Acer is one of the superior brands.

Very Light

With a weight of only 2 kilograms, the Acer X1 is one of the lighter comparable spec data projectors that have been around for more than two years amongst comparable spec projectors of this age. Chart Edit

8 Reasons Against

Does Not Have a Built-In Speaker

The Acer X1 does not have a built-in speaker, unlike most of the other 10000:1 contrast ratio projectors that are a similar age to the X1.

We compared this data projector to all the other projectors with a built-in speaker and we think the Epson PowerLite 1222[plb_2225031_price], or the NEC NP-M282[plb_2338575_price] which is also higher rated is also worth considering.

Does Not Support 3D Image Projection

Most comparable spec projectors that have been on the market for a similar time to the X1 do not support 3D image projection. The Acer X1 is no exception to this as it too does not support 3D image projection.

Chart Edit

Does Not Support Full HD Projection

The Acer X1 does not support Full HD projection, although it is worth keeping in mind that most of the other multimedia projectors of this spec and age also do not support Full HD projection.

It is worth also looking at other projectors which also support Full HD projection including the Epson 1975W[plb_3009713_price] which also has a higher rating.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

Most multimedia projectors of a similar age and spec to the X1 do not support WiFi connectivity. The Acer X1 is no exception to this as it too does not support WiFi connectivity.

Other multimedia projectors which also support WiFi connectivity that you might also want to consider include the Benq W1500[plb_1561671_price], or the Epson PowerLite 1222[plb_2225031_price].

Chart Edit

1 Other reason to consider the Acer X1

Average Projector Brightness

At 2,700 ANSI lumens, the Acer X1 has a pretty typical projector brightness compared to most of the other similar spec data projectors that are a comparable age to the X1.

We think you might also be interested in some of the alternative 2,700 ANSI lumens brightness data projectors currently available including the Acer X1240[plb_1403576_price] which has better reviews.

If you want a brighter projector brightness then you might want to consider the NEC NP-M282[plb_2338575_price] (2,800 ANSI lumens) which is also higher rated.
