A few Benq MW526 owners said in their reviews that it was good quality. Af said in their review of this projector on Amazon “Good image quality”. Like most of the other 13000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been on the market for around the same time as the MW526, the Benq MW526 has a built-in speaker.

It may also be worth considering one of the other data projectors with a built-in speaker currently available including the 720P[pl_1560816_price], or the MW820ST[pl_1552199_price] both from Benq or the Acer P1276[plb_1563560_price] which is cheaper.

1920 X 1200 (WUXGA) Graphics Resolution

The highest resolution supported by the Benq MW526 is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA). That's 20% more resolution than the most common graphics resolution of 1600 x 1200 (UXGA). In addition, this Benq projector supports a graphics resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA).

A 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) graphics resolution is actually the best supported resolution amongst all 13000:1 contrast ratio projectors that came out more than two years ago.

A 640 x 480 (VGA) graphics resolution is the worst supported resolution across similar types of projector.

Quite Bright Projector Brightness

Across all the projectors that are a comparable age to the MW526 the projector brightness range from 800 ANSI lumens to 4,200 ANSI lumens, and the average projector brightness is 3,000 ANSI lumens. At 3,200 ANSI lumens, the Benq MW526 has a fairly bright projector brightness compared to most of the other projectors of a similar age and type to the MW526.

There are a number of alternative 3,200 ANSI lumens brightness multimedia projectors currently available that you might want to look at including the Benq MS524[plb_2415516_price] which is cheaper.

The Benq MW526 has a maximum resolution of WXGA (1280x800). That's 30% more resolution than the most frequently found native projector resolution of XGA (1024x768).

Does Not Support Full HD Projection

The Benq MW526 does not support Full HD projection, although this is within the context that most of the other 13000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been around for more than two years also do not support Full HD projection.

We compared all the other projectors which also support Full HD projection to this projector and we think the MW820ST[pl_1552199_price], or the MS512[pl_2290289_price] both from Benq which is also cheaper is also worth considering.
