A number of DELL 1610HD owners wrote in their reviews that it was strong and durable. In November last year Iwficon mentioned “It has a pleasantly sturdy look and feel that immediately fills you with confidence” and rated the product 5 stars. Iwficon also wrote “The desktop set up is very good as well, with a sturdy footing that makes it easy to direct the projection to where you want”. Mr. D. J. Carr wrote on Amazon “The extending leg is simple yet sturdy, so projecting the picture at the correct height is simple”.

Three DELL 1610HD owners mentioned that the product was well made. Iwficon mentioned on Amazon “This is built to last” in their review. Expert review site Pcmag.com wrote two years ago “Educators in need of a bright portable projector with good data image quality and a solid selection of connection choices would do well to consider the Dell 1610HD” and rated the product 4 stars. It Reviews.com said on IT Reviews.com “Solid set of connection choices” however despite that they scored the product 60 out of 100.

Has a Built-In Speaker

The DELL 1610HD has a built-in speaker, as do most of the other recently released similar spec multimedia projectors.

We think you might also be interested in some of the alternative projectors with a built-in speaker currently available including the VPL-EW235[pl_3703631_price], or the VPL-DW240[pl_3760760_price] both from Sony or the DELL M900HD[plb_3821033_price] which has better reviews.

The DELL 1610HD has more VGA (D-Sub) ports than most of the projectors that have been around for around the same time as the 1610HD. This multimedia projector is a three VGA (D-Sub) port projector compared to most of the similar spec data projectors that came out around the same time as the 1610HD which only have between one and two VGA (D-Sub) ports.

The DELL 1610HD does not support WiFi connectivity, although it is worth noting that most of the other projectors that came out in the last 12 months also do not support WiFi connectivity.

We compared this multimedia projector to all the other projectors with a WiFi connectivity and we think the DELL M900HD[plb_3821033_price] which also has a higher rating is also worth considering.

The Dell 1610HD is a good choice for the presenter that needs high brightness on a budget. Few of the multimedia projectors we have reviewed put out 3500 lumens or more and nearly all of them...
