Epson has good average ratings for its 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors as well as across its entire multimedia projector range.

Supports Full HD Projection

The Epson 1284 supports Full HD projection, which is unusual. Most of the other projectors of this type and age do not support Full HD projection.

It may also be worth also looking at one of the other multimedia projectors which support Full HD projection currently available including because of it's better review score, the W2000[pl_3099924_price], or the W1110[pl_3103892_price] both from Benq.

WUXGA (1920x1200) Native Projector Resolution

The Epson 1284 has a maximum resolution of WUXGA (1920x1200). That's over two times the resolution of a WXGA (1280x800) projector, which is the most frequently found resolution.
