One person who reviewed the product concluded that it was not good value for money. Ci Hamill wrote in their review of this projectors on Amazon in August this year “A tad pricey” nonetheless gave the Epson EB-98 a rating of 99 out of 100.

Does Not Support 3D Image Projection
The Epson EB-98 does not support 3D image projection, although this is within the context that most of the other comparable spec projectors that came out more than two years ago also do not support 3D image projection.
We think you might also be interested in other projectors which also support 3D image projection including the Optoma ML550 (£568.22), the Acer P1500, or the Benq W1070 (£499.00) which also has a higher rating.
Does Not Support Full HD Projection
Like most of the other 10000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that came out around the same time as the EB-98, the Epson EB-98 does not support Full HD projection.
We compared all the other projectors which also support Full HD projection to this projector and we think the NEC M322 (£967.93), the Acer P1500, or the Benq W1070 (£499.00) which also has a higher Rating is also worth considering.
Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity
Most data projectors of a comparable type and age to the EB-98 do not support WiFi connectivity. The Epson EB-98 is no exception to this as it too does not support WiFi connectivity.
There are a number of other projectors which also support WiFi connectivity that you might also want to look at including the EB-X18 (£411.67), or the EB-X03 both from Epson.

We compared all the other 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness data projectors to this data projector and we think the Acer P1341 which is cheaper; or the Acer P1500 which has a better Rating are also worth considering.

XGA (1024x768) Native Projector Resolution
The highest resolution of the Epson EB-98 is XGA (1024x768). That's 23% less resolution than a WXGA (1280x800) data projector, which is the most frequently found resolution.
