The Home Cinema 3020+ has a built-in speaker, which is unusual. Most of the other similar spec projectors that have been on the market for more than two years do not have a built-in speaker.

We compared all the other projectors with a built-in speaker to this projector and we think the Acer H7531D, and the Viewsonic Pro10100-SD which has better reviews is also worth considering.

Supports 3D Image Projection

Like most of the other projectors of a similar spec and age to the Home Cinema 3020+, the Home Cinema 3020+ supports 3D image projection.

It may also be worth considering one of the alternative projectors which support 3D image projection currently available including because of it's better review score, the Benq W7000+, the Sony VPL-HW40ES (£1,550.00), or the Epson PowerLite Pro G6050W.

A Bit Expensive

Several customers said in their reviews that the Epson Home Cinema 3020+ was not cheap. Consumersearch.com mentioned “WirelessHD 3020e only) is an expensive upgrade and needs clear line of sight to work”. Expert website Projectorreviews.com wrote four years ago “Although this review says Home Cinema 3020 - or HC3020, throughout, we actually worked with the more expensive HC3020e” in their review of this projector.

Unacceptable Noise Level

One Epson Home Cinema 3020+ owner who reviewed the Epson Home Cinema 3020+ thought it was not noisy. Three years ago Consumersearch.com wrote “Black levels come at the expense of a noisy iris motor”.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

The Home Cinema 3020+ does not support WiFi connectivity. Most of the other comparable spec multimedia projectors that were launched more than two years ago also do not support WiFi connectivity.

It is worth also looking at other projectors which also support WiFi connectivity including the Elmo BOXi MP-350, the LG PW700 (£413.03), or the Optoma W305ST (£492.00).

If you want a multimedia projector with a brighter projector brightness then you might want to look at the PowerLite Home Cinema 5030ub (2,400 ANSI lumens and higher rated), the EH-TW9200 (£1,995.00) (2,400 ANSI lumens and higher rated), or the 5020UB (2,400 ANSI lumens and higher rated) all from Epson.
