The Epson PowerLite 4855WU has a built-in speaker, which is unusual. Most of the other projectors that have been on the market for a similar time to the PowerLite 4855WU do not have a built-in speaker.

We compared all the other data projectors with a built-in speaker to this projector and we think the Acer H7531D, the Viewsonic Pro10100-SD, and the Epson Home Cinema 3020+ which has better reviews is also worth considering.

At 4,000 ANSI lumens, the PowerLite 4855WU has a fairly bright projector brightness compared to most of the other data projectors of this age and type. Across all the projectors that were released more than two years ago the projector brightness range from 300 ANSI lumens to 9,200 ANSI lumens.

Data projectors with a brighter projector brightness that might be worth looking at include the PowerLite 4750W (4,200 ANSI lumens), or the EB-1930 (£490.01) (4,200 ANSI lumens) both from Epson or the Optoma EH501 (5,000 ANSI lumens) which also has a higher rating.

Does Not Support 3D Image Projection

The PowerLite 4855WU does not support 3D image projection. Most of the other projectors of a similar type and age to the PowerLite 4855WU do support 3D image projection.

We compared this multimedia projector to all the other projectors with a 3D image projection and we think the Benq W7000+, the Sony VPL-HW40ES (£1,050.00), or the Epson PowerLite Pro G6050W which also has a higher rating is also worth considering.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

The PowerLite 4855WU does not support WiFi connectivity, although this is within the context that most of the other similar spec multimedia projectors that have been on the market for around the same time as the PowerLite 4855WU also do not support WiFi connectivity.

It is worth also looking at alternative projectors which also support WiFi connectivity including the Elmo BOXi MP-350, the LG PW700 (£413.03), or the Optoma W305ST (£492.00) which is also higher rated.
