The Epson PowerLite 530 supports a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 (UXGA). That's over six times the resolution of a 640 x 480 (VGA) projector, which is the most common resolution supported by 16000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been available for around the same time as the PowerLite 530. 640 x 480 (VGA) is also supported by this Epson projector.
