At only 2.4 kilograms, the Powerlite S18+ is fairly light compared to most of the other data projectors that came out around the same time as the Powerlite S18+.

Like most of the other 10000:1 contrast ratio projectors that were released around the same time as the Powerlite S18+, the Powerlite S18+ does not support Full HD projection.

We compared this data projector to all the other projectors with a Full HD projection and we think the Epson 1975W which is also higher rated is also worth considering.

The highest resolution of the Powerlite S18+ is SVGA (800x600). That's 53% less resolution than the most frequently found native projector resolution of WXGA (1280x800).

A SVGA (800x600) native projector resolution is actually the worst resolution across all data projectors of a comparable age and type to the Powerlite S18+.

A WUXGA (1920x1200) native projector resolution is the best resolution across comparable types of projector.

At only 200 Watts, the Powerlite S18+ has a fairly small lamp power compared to most of the other projectors of a similar age and spec to the Powerlite S18+. It may also be worth considering one of the alternative 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness projectors currently available including because of it's better review score, the Epson EB-W18.
