We compared this multimedia projector to all the other multimedia projectors with a built-in speaker and we think the Optoma W490[plb_3806985_price], and the Hitachi CP-X5550[plb_3255925_price] which is cheaper is also worth considering.

1080p (1920x1080) Native Projector Resolution

The highest resolution of the Optoma EH490 is 1080p (1920x1080). That's over two times the resolution of the most common native projector resolution of WXGA (1280x800). The resolution of all recently released projectors ranges from XGA (1024x768) (worst) to WUXGA (1920x1200) (best).

1600 X 1200 (UXGA) Graphics Resolution

The Optoma EH490 supports a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 (UXGA). That's over two times the resolution of a 1024 x 768 (XGA) projector, which is the most common resolution supported by 10000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been around for the last year. 1024 x 768 (XGA) is also supported by this projector. This multimedia projector also support graphics resolutions of 640 x 480 (VGA), 800 x 600 (SVGA), 1280 x 1024 (SXGA), 1280 x 768 (WXGA) and 1280 x 800 (WXGA) and 1360 x 768 (WXGA). Across all newly released data projectors the resolution ranges from 640 x 480 (VGA) to 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA).
