3000:1 contrast ratio projectors manufactured by Optoma have good ratings on average compared to other brands. We also checked the reviews for all projectors (not just 3000:1 contrast ratio projectors) and found that Optoma also has good ratings across its entire range.

Supports 3D Image Projection

The Optoma EX685 supports 3D image projection. Most of the other 3000:1 contrast ratio projectors that were released more than two years ago do not support 3D image projection.

We compared this multimedia projector to all the other projectors which support 3D image projection and we think the NEC NP-M311W which has better reviews is also worth considering.
