Like most of the other projectors that have been around for around the same time as the H114, the Optoma H114 supports 3D image projection.

Other multimedia projectors which support 3D image projection currently available which you might also want to look at include a cheaper multimedia projector such as the Infocus SP1080[plb_3696418_price], or the Optoma X340[plb_3495228_price] or you might consider a better rated multimedia projector such as the Optoma H183X[plb_3381810_price].

The Optoma H114 has a built-in speaker, as do most of the other multimedia projectors that have been available for around the same time as the H114.

We compared this projector to all the other projectors with a built-in speaker and we think a cheaper data projector such as the Infocus SP1080[plb_3696418_price], and the Optoma X340[plb_3495228_price] or you might consider a better rated data projector such as the Optoma H183X[plb_3381810_price] are also worth considering.

1920 X 1080 (HD 1080) Graphics Resolution

The highest resolution supported by the Optoma H114 is 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080). That's over six times the resolution of the most common graphics resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA) (which is also supported by this data projector). In addition, this multimedia projector support graphics resolutions of 800 x 600 (SVGA), 1024 x 768 (XGA), 1280 x 1024 (SXGA) and 1360 x 768 (WXGA) and 1600 x 1200 (UXGA). Latest projectors graphics resolutions range from 640 x 480 (VGA) (worst) to 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) (best).

With a width of only 298 millimeters, the Optoma H114 is one of the narrower multimedia projectors that have been available for the last year amongst comparable spec projectors of this age. The narrowest multimedia projector that is a similar age to the H114 is 110mm wide and the widest is 590mm.

Very Light

The weights of recently released projectors range from 2.7g to 28kg. At only 2.2 kilograms, the Optoma H114 is quite light compared to most of the other new projectors.

Poor 3D Picture Quality

One customer who purchased the product reckoned that it did not have a good 3D picture quality. Ryan Tech Reviews wrote on Amazon in October “This projector can also be used for watching television and supports 3D viewing, unfortunately I do not have the necessary equipment to use these features”.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

The Optoma H114 does not support WiFi connectivity, although keep in mind that most of the other projectors that have been available for a similar time to the H114 also do not support WiFi connectivity.

We compared all the other data projectors which also support WiFi connectivity to this data projector and we think the Sony MP-CL1[plb_3151534_price] which is also cheaper is also worth considering.

The RMS rated power of projectors that were released around the same time as the H114 range from 1W to 20W. At only 2 Watts, the Optoma H114 has a fairly low RMS rated power compared to most of the other multimedia projectors that have been available for around the same time as the H114.
