Supports Full HD Projection

The Optoma HD161X supports Full HD projection, which is unusual. Most of the other data projectors of a similar type and age to the HD161X do not support Full HD projection.

We think you might also be interested in some of the alternative projectors which support Full HD projection currently available including the Benq W7000+, or the Panasonic PTAE7000U which has better reviews.

This projector has a native projector resolution of 1080p (1920x1080), which is typical of many projectors that have been available for a comparable time to it.

1920 X 1080 (HD 1080) Graphics Resolution

The highest resolution supported by the Optoma HD161X is 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080). That's over six times the resolution of the most common graphics resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA) (which is also supported by this projector). This data projector also support graphics resolutions of 1024 x 768 (XGA), 1280 x 1024 (SXGA), 1280 x 768 (WXGA) and 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) and 800 x 600 (SVGA). The best resolution of all projectors that are a similar age to the HD161X is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) and the worst is 640 x 480 (VGA).

Most projectors that came out more than two years ago do not have a built-in speaker. The Optoma HD161X is no exception to this as it too does not have a built-in speaker.

We compared all the other data projectors which also have a built-in speaker to this data projector and we think the Acer H7531D is also worth considering.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

Most projectors of this age and spec do not support WiFi connectivity. The Optoma HD161X is no exception to this as it too does not support WiFi connectivity.

It is worth also looking at alternative projectors which also support WiFi connectivity including the LG PW700 (£337.00), or the Optoma W305ST (£535.65).
