The highest resolution of the Optoma HD161X is 1080p (1920x1080). That's over two times the resolution of a XGA (1024x768) multimedia projector, which is the most common resolution. Similar spec projectors that have been on the market for more than a year native projector resolutions range from nHD (640x360) (worst) to DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) (best).

The highest resolution supported by the Optoma HD161X is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA). That's over seven times the resolution of a 640 x 480 (VGA) data projector, which is the most frequently found resolution supported by multimedia projectors of this age and type. 640 x 480 (VGA) is also supported by this projector.
