The Optoma HD91+ has a maximum resolution of 1080p (1920x1080). That's over two times the resolution of the most common native projector resolution of WXGA (1280x800). Across all projectors that were released more than a year ago the best resolution is WUXGA (1920x1200) and the worst is SVGA (800x600).

Two HDMI Ports

The Optoma HD91+ has more HDMI ports than most of the projectors of this type and age. Most of the data projectors of this age and spec only have one HDMI port, however this data projector has two HDMI ports.

Inferior Picture Quality

A few Optoma HD91+ owners who reviewed it agreed that it did not have good picture quality. C. Bryan said on Amazon “The picture quality can't be faulted” nonetheless they rated it as very good. Avforums.com wrote in December last year “Lack of low end shadow detail” but they scored the Optoma HD91+ 4 stars.

Unacceptable Noise Level

Some Optoma HD91+ reviewers concluded that the Optoma HD91+ was not noisy. Expert website Gadgetspeak.com said “Generating heat that typically needs a noisy fan to disperse” in their Optoma HD91+ review. Avforums.com wrote “Noisy in operation” in their review of the Optoma HD91+ but even so they gave it a score of 80 out of 100.

Does Not Have a Built-In Speaker

The Optoma HD91+ does not have a built-in speaker, unlike most of the other comparable spec projectors that have been available for more than a year.
