Supports 3D Image Projection

The PJ HD5450 supports 3D image projection. Most of the other comparable spec projectors that have been around for a similar time to the PJ HD5450 do not support 3D image projection.

We compared all the other projectors which support 3D image projection to this projector and we think the PJ WX5460, and the PJ WX2240 VP both from Ricoh or the Optoma X310 which has better reviews is also worth considering.

Supports Full HD Projection

The PJ HD5450 supports Full HD projection. Most of the other comparable spec projectors that were launched more than a year ago do not support Full HD projection.

Other projectors which support Full HD projection currently available that you might want to look at include the Canon WUX6000, the Hitachi CP-EX301N, or the Ricoh PJ WX6170N which has better reviews.

1080p (1920x1080) Native Projector Resolution

The highest resolution of the Ricoh PJ HD5450 is 1080p (1920x1080). That's over two times the resolution of a XGA (1024x768) data projector, which is the most frequently found resolution. The best resolution of all multimedia projectors of a comparable type and age to the PJ HD5450 is DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) and the worst is nHD (640x360).
