7 Reasons For

Viewsonic Multimedia Projectors Have Excellent Reviews

On average Viewsonic 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors have excellent ratings as do all projectors manufactured by Viewsonic.

Supports 3D Image Projection

Like most of the other multimedia projectors of this type and age, the PJD5132 supports 3D image projection.

Chart Edit

Has a Built-In Speaker

The PJD5132 has a built-in speaker, as do most of the other 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that are a comparable age to the PJD5132.

Chart Edit

1600 X 1200 (UXGA) Graphics Resolution

This projector supports a graphics resolution of 1600 x 1200 (UXGA), which is typical of many projectors of a comparable age and type to it.

Chart Edit

Two Component Video in Ports

The PJD5132 has more component video in ports than most of the 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that were released more than two years ago. Most of the 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that were released more than two years ago only have one component video in port, however this projector has two component video in ports.

Chart Edit

Very Light

The weights of multimedia projectors of a similar type and age to the PJD5132 range from 1.3kg to 27kg. With a weight of only 2.1 kilograms, the Viewsonic PJD5132 is fairly light compared to most of the other multimedia projectors that have been on the market for around the same time as the PJD5132.

Chart Edit

Very Narrow

The narrowest projector of this age and type is 230mm wide and the widest is 750mm. At only 268 millimeters, the PJD5132 is fairly narrow compared to most of the other projectors of this type and age.

Chart Edit

4 Reasons Against

Does Not Support Full HD Projection

Most multimedia projectors of a similar spec and age to the PJD5132 do not support Full HD projection. The PJD5132 is no exception to this as it too does not support Full HD projection.

We think you might also be interested in alternative projectors which also support Full HD projection including the Viewsonic PJD7820HD[plb_1536139_price] which also has a higher rating.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

Like most of the other 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that are a similar age to the PJD5132, the PJD5132 does not support WiFi connectivity.

We compared all the other data projectors which also support WiFi connectivity to this multimedia projector and we think the Optoma EX400[plb_2110318_price], or the Epson EB-Z11005[plb_2549634_price] is also worth considering.

Only SVGA (800x600) Native Projector Resolution

The PJD5132 has a maximum resolution of SVGA (800x600). That's 39% less resolution than a XGA (1024x768) multimedia projector, which is the most common resolution.

A SVGA (800x600) native projector resolution is in fact the worst resolution amongst all data projectors of this age and type.

The best resolution across comparable types of projector is WUXGA (1920x1200).

Quite Dim Projector Brightness

Data projectors that have been on the market for around the same time as the PJD5132 have projector brightness of between 700 ANSI lumens and 11,000 ANSI lumens. At only 2,800 ANSI lumens, the Viewsonic PJD5132 has a fairly dim projector brightness compared to most of the other projectors of a comparable spec and age to the PJD5132.

We compared this projector to all the other 2,800 ANSI lumens brightness multimedia projectors and we think because of it's better review score, the Viewsonic PJD5533W[plb_1500188_price] is also worth considering.

If this Viewsonic multimedia projector projector brightness is too dim for you then you might also want to look at the Infocus IN116A[plb_2100766_price] (3,000 ANSI lumens) which also has a higher rating.
