Nice Design

Several Archos 97 owners agreed that the product was good looking. In November last year Matt wrote on Amazon “Display pretty good.”. Three years ago Soundasleeper said “This arrived yesterday so I'm still getting to grips with some aspects of it, however so far I have to say I'm pretty impressed” in their review of this tablet. Soundasleeper also wrote “The screen is pretty amazing, bright, sharp”.

One Archos 97 reviewer who reviewed this tablet reckoned that it was ergonomic. Three years ago Daphne wrote “An ergonomic mistake” but despite that she gave it a score of 3 stars. One Archos 97 reviewer who bought it thought it was smooth. Tme Mccoy-Page wrote in their review of this tablet “Downstairs it is smooth and fast”.

Several people considered that the product was well made. Soundasleeper said in their review of the Archos 97 three years ago “Overall the tablet has a satisfyingly solid feel and the buttons etc seem fine”.

A few customers who reviewed it agreed that it was good value for money. Philip Sheffer gave it a rating of 5 stars and he mentioned in his review “What astounding value and a great screen”. Philip Sheffer also said “O so much better value for moneyfor the kisd to play with”. Acceptable Noise Level

Some people who purchased it agreed that it was quiet. Dave the Brave wrote in his review of this tablet “Speaker volume extremely quiet” although he only gave the product a rating of 40 out of 100. Three years ago David Scott wrote in his review “I feel that I must point out that the in-built tablet speakers are absolutely awful! They are extremely quiet, even when on full volume”.

In November last year The Crusader wrote in their review of the Archos 97 “I would suggest saving up for a bit longer to get a better quality tablet (I don't know which one, as I don't have any experience with any others).”.

Easy to Use

Three Archos 97 reviewers considered that this tablet was easy to use. Rob said three years ago “It was easy to use initially and the set up was simple, I bought some other stuff to use with it such as a 64g card” in his review of the Archos 97. Not 4G Compatible

Like most of the other tablet computers that have been around for a comparable time to the 97, the Archos 97 is not 4G compatible.

Tablet computers which are 4G compatible that might be worth looking at include the SM-T217 Galaxy Tab 3, or the SM-T337 Galaxy Tab 4 both from Samsung or the Motorola ET1 which also has a higher rating.

At 2 megapixels, the Archos 97 has a pretty standard rear camera resolution compared to most of the other tablet computers that have been around for a comparable time to the 97.

We compared this tablet computer to all the other 2MP rear camera resolution tablets and we think the Yarvik TAB09-211 Xenta 9.7ic, the Point of View Mobii 1045, and the Ingo SGM20143 Hello Kitty Premium Tablet 7 which has better reviews is also worth considering.

If you would prefer a tablet computer with a higher rear camera resolution then you might want to consider the Touch 4S (2.1MP), or the 7S Angry Birds (2.1MP) both from Kurio or the Huawei MediaPad 10 Link+ (3MP) which also has a higher rating.
