8 Reasons Against

Poor Expert Reviews

Vacuum cleaner expert review website goodhousekeeping.com scored this vacuum 60 out of 100. It seems that vacuum experts really don't rate this high maximum input power vacuum cleaner very highly.

Does Not Have a Brush Tool

Most vacuums of this age and type do not have a brush tool. The S194 Electro is no exception to this as it too does not have a brush tool.

We compared this vacuum to all the other vacuums with a brush tool and we think the S6210, or the S8 TotalCare both from Miele or the Samsung SC8830 which is also higher rated is also worth considering.

One customer reckoned that it was not easy to use. Goodhousekeeping.com said “Somewhat difficult to use under low furniture”.

Poor At Cleaning Pet Hair

One Miele S194 Electro reviewer reckoned that this vacuum cleaner was not good at cleaning pet hair. In November last year expert review site Goodhousekeeping.com wrote “It performed very poorly removing pet hair from a low-pile carpet” in their Miele S194 Electro review and gave it a rating of 3 stars.

Not Good in Terms of Size

It may also be worth also looking at one of the other 82dB noise level vacuums currently available including because of it's better review score, the Zanussi ZAN2415, the Samsung SC4570, or the Dyson DC37.

3 Other reasons to consider the Miele S194 Electro

Dry Cleaning Type

The cleaning type of this vacuum is Dry, which is typical of many vacuums that are a comparable age to it.

It may also be worth considering one of the other Dry vacuums currently available including because of it's better review score, the Princess Royal Jet Vac (£69.05), the Electrolux ZUPG3801, or the Rowenta RO59.

If the cleaning type of this vacuum is too bad for you then you might want to consider the 20570-56 (Wet), or the 21180-56 (Wet) both from Russell Hobbs or the Polti Vaporetto Action (£59.00) (Wet) which also has a higher rating.
