The Contour Design ContourRoam does not support HDMI, unlike most of the other video cameras of this spec and age which support HDMI.

It is worth considering other video cameras which also support HDMI including the Sony HDR-CX400E which is also higher rated.

Battery

Average Battery Life (max)

At 3 hours, the ContourRoam has a fairly typical battery life (max) compared to most of the other medium total megapixels camcorders that have been around for more than two years.

If you would prefer a longer battery life (max) then you might want to consider the GZ-R15 (4.5h and higher rated), or the GZ-R10 (£157) (4.5h and higher rated) both from JVC or the Canon Legria HF S30 (4.5h and higher rated).

Storage

Average Maximum Memory Card Size

At 32 gigabytes, the ContourRoam has a pretty average maximum memory card size compared to most of the other medium total megapixels camcorders that have been available for a similar time to this video camera.

We compared all the other 32GB maximum memory card size camcorders to this video camera and we think because of its better review score, the Contour Design Contour+ (£79.99) is also worth considering.

Camcorders with a larger maximum memory card size that might be worth considering include the Canon Legria HF S30 (64GB and higher rated).
