The GY-HM150 supports an SDXC compatible memory cards which is better than most camcorders that were launched more than two years ago. Most camcorders that were released more than two years ago support an SD compatible memory cards. This video camera also supports an SDHC compatible memory cards. SDXC cards are SD cards but with a much higher capacity and faster processing speeds. They have a maximum capacity of 2TB (Terabytes).

This video camera's memory card type (SDXC) is in fact the best supported memory card type amongst all camcorders that are a similar age to the GY-HM150.

The worst supported memory card type across comparable types of video camera is Not supported.

SDHC cards are DS cards with a higher capacity of up to 32GB.
