The Panasonic HX-DC2 supports an SDXC compatible memory cards which is better than the SDHC compatible memory cards supported by most big total megapixels video cameras that came out more than two years ago. In addition, this video camera supports an SD compatible memory cards. SDXC cards are SD cards but with a much higher capacity and faster processing speeds. They have a maximum capacity of 2TB (Terabytes).

This camcorder's memory card type (SDXC) is actually the best supported memory card type amongst all comparable spec video cameras that were released around the same time as the HX-DC2.

The worst supported memory card type amongst comparable types of camcorder is MS Pro-HG.
