Good Quality Lens

Several customers who purchased it reckoned that it had a good image stabiliser. Dr. Michael Heron gave the Sony FDR-AX53 a score of 5 stars and he mentioned in his review of this camcorder on Amazon “The on-board stabilisation software is absolutely excellent”. Gadget Man said in their review of the Sony FDR-AX53 “The image stabilisation is very powerful.” . Jgw89 mentioned “In both modes Stabilization is unbeatable when compared to my previous Panasonic” and rated the Sony FDR-AX53 5 stars.

Three Sony FDR-AX53 reviewers concluded that the product had a good lens. Jgw89 said last year “This one has now introduced a native 16x9 aspect ratio along with the Carl Zeiss lens which provides wonderful detailed images - the detail is incredible vs HD” in their Sony FDR-AX53 review.

Two people considered that this camcorder had a good zoom. Gadget Man wrote on Amazon “Wanders around at full zoom” but even so they only rated the product 2 stars. Last year Mr. A. Jonnie1266 wrote on Amazon “Firstly, as ever in my experience with Sony it has a great feel of quality and build”. Marcin Rucinski said last year “Image quality is OK” in their Sony FDR-AX53 review.

Nice Design

A number of Sony FDR-AX53 owners who reviewed the product thought it was smooth. Last year Dr. Michael Heron mentioned “When combined with a half-way reasonable tripod you'll get rock-solid smooth motion with minimal effort” in his review of this camcorder. Jgw89 wrote on Amazon in January last year “While this model isn't 100% stable wheb fully zoomed it is smooth and watchable, rather than all over the place” in their Sony FDR-AX53 review. Martian Invader mentioned “I have a PJ620 with BOSS ( Balanced Optical Steady Shot ) which works great, giving smooth footage”.

Three Sony FDR-AX53 owners concluded that it was good looking. Lark said “The mic technology on this camera alone is pretty good, featuring noise cancellation qualities” and gave the product a score of 5 stars.
