The Sony NEX-VG20 supports an SDXC compatible memory cards which is better than the SDHC compatible memory cards supported by most camcorders of a comparable age and spec to it. This Sony video camera also support MS PRO, MS Pro-HG Duo and MS Pro-HG Duo HX and SD compatible memory cardss. SDXC cards are SD cards but with a much higher capacity and faster processing speeds. They have a maximum capacity of 2TB (Terabytes).

This video camera's memory card type (SDXC) is actually the best supported memory card type across all video cameras of this spec and age.

The worst supported memory card type amongst similar types of video camera is MS Pro-HG.
