Four owners agreed that it was good value for money. Expert review site Gizmodo.com.au wrote “They're generally fantastic value”. Pcmag.com said in their review of this camcorder on expert website PC Mag five years ago “The Zoom Q2HD Hand Video Recorder delivers on its promise of excellent audio recording for an affordable price.”.

Three people who bought it said that it had a good zoom. Expert review site Gizmodo.com.au mentioned in their review of this camcorder “Zoom makes some fine audio recording equipment — not the best in the industry.”. Expert review site Pcmag.com said in their review of the Zoom Q2HD “The Zoom Q2HD Handy Video Recorder ($199 list) stands apart”.
