Video

Does Not Support Full HD Video

Like most of the other medium megapixel digital cameras that came out more than two years ago, the A2500 Bundle does not support Full HD video.

We think you might also be interested in other cameras which also support Full HD video including the SLT-A35Y + DT 18-55mm + DT 55-200mm, or the SLT-A57Y both from Sony or the Olympus OM-D E-M10 which also has a higher rating.

1280 X 720 Pixels Video Resolution

The highest video resolution supported by the Canon A2500 Bundle is 1280 x 720 pixels. That's over three times the video resolution of the most common video resolutions of 640 x 480 pixels (which is also supported by this camera). A video resolution of 1280 x 720 is classified as HD and TVs supporting this resolution are referred to as "HD Ready". However the resolution is not as detailed as Full HD (1920 x 1080). The worst video resolution of all medium megapixel digital cameras that were launched more than two years ago is 320 x 120 pixels and the best is 1920 x 1080 pixels.

The A2500 Bundle has a built-in flash. Most of the other digital cameras of a comparable age and type to this camera also have a built-in flash.

We compared all the other digital cameras with a built-in flash to this camera and we think because of it's better review score, the Sony SLT-A35Y + DT 18-55mm + DT 55-200mm, and the Olympus E-PL5 + M.ZUIKO ED 14‑42mm is also worth considering.

We think you might also be interested in some of the alternative 2.7" screen cameras currently available including because of it's better review score, the GE X5 (£55.00).

We think you might also be interested in some of the alternative 4x digital zoom cameras currently available including the L120, or the Coolpix S6150 both from Nikon or the Canon G1 X (£419.99) which has better reviews.

If this Canon camera digital zoom is too small for you then you might want to look at the WB350F (5x), or the WB800F (5x) both from Samsung or the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ72 (£242.99) (5x) which also has a higher rating.

If you are looking for a bigger optical zoom then you might want to consider the Nikon D5100 + AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR (£239.99) (5.8x) which is also higher rated.
