Several people who purchased the product considered that it was compact. Frank P. mentioned on Amazon “The 12-42mm "EZ" kit lens is beautifully compact, too”. Funk said in their Olympus OM-D E-M10 review on Amazon “Bigger than a compact (although found one in the end” and gave it an excellent review. Funk also wrote “The sight on the top is excellent, although as a compact instead of SLR it doesn't have the same response”.
A number of Olympus OM-D E-M10 reviewers who bought it said that it was lightweight. Cadmanuk wrote on Amazon three years ago “Now I have the best of both worlds; a small lightweight camera like my beloved OM10, with all the benefits of the digital age!” and gave it an excellent review score. Kfphotos said “So far so good small, compact, lightweight and the few test shots I have rattled off look fantastic, I really want to get out with it”. Mr. R. D. Turner said on Amazon “ZUIKO Digital 40 -150mm Lenses) complete with Panasonic 20mm Compact and Lightweight Digital Interchangeable Lens for Lumix G - Black”.
A few customers who reviewed it agreed that it was a good body shape. Mr. R. D. Turner said “This E-M10 has a metal body, lots of buttons” and scored the product very highly. Sam T. said two years ago “Then realised front wheel has come off body so will need to return to Olympus for repair” .
Several people agreed that it was a good depth. James Kaye said in his review on Amazon “This lens delivers fantastic pictures in low light with lovely depth of field and has completed my trio of lenses for the OM-D EM10”. James Kaye also mentioned “You have an ultra-fast lens for low light that offers lovely depth of field”.
Some customers who bought it thought it was heavy and bulky. Last year Mary-Mary said in their Olympus OM-D E-M10 review “Jackets and isnt heavy even with a few lenses in a rucksack or bag” and rated it 5 stars. Tj said on Amazon “If you don't want to carry heavy gear around, this is the camera for you” in their review of the Olympus OM-D E-M10.
