The average power of similar spec electric kettles that have been available for more than a year is 2,500W, and the powers range from 200W to 3,100W. At 3,000 Watts, the Hotpoint WK30EAR0 has a fairly big power compared to most of the other medium water tank capacity kettles that came out around the same time as the WK30EAR0.

We compared this kettle to all the other 3,000W Power kettles and we think the Severin WK 3471 (£72.99) which has better reviews; or the Hotpoint WK30MAB0 (£70.00) which is cheaper are also worth considering.

Has a Keep Warm Function

The WK30EAR0 has a keep warm function, unlike most of the other kettles of a similar spec and age to the WK30EAR0 which do not have a keep warm function.

We compared all the other kettles with a keep warm function to this electric kettle and we think the SWK 1791WH (£69.35), and the SWK 1792BK both from Sencor or the Tefal KO3718 (£63.64) which is cheaper is also worth considering.

Has an Automatic Shut Off System

The WK30EAR0 has an automatic shut off system, which is unusual. Most of the other electric kettles of a comparable type and age to the WK30EAR0 do not have an automatic shut off system.

It may also be worth considering one of the alternative kettles with an automatic shut off system currently available including the Tefal KO3718 (£63.64), or the DeLonghi Brillante KBJ 2001.BK (£77.06) which is cheaper.

We think you might also be interested in alternative kettles which also have an automatic shut off system including the Electrolux EEWA7100W (£84.50).
