We checked 4,803 user and expert reviews for DELL laptops and found that on average DELL has good ratings compared to other manufacturers. We also found that DELL has good ratings specifically for its medium processor cores notebook PCs.

SSD Storage Media

The DELL XPS 13 has a better storage medium than most portable PCs of a comparable type and age to it. This laptop has an SSD storage media, whereas most notebook PCs of a comparable age and spec to it have an HDD storage media. Solid State Drives (SSD) store data in semiconductors on a circuit board rather than using magnetic or optical media. Solid State Drives have no moving parts which makes them very fast and reliable.

This portable PC's storage medium (SSD) is actually the best storage medium across all medium processor cores notebook PCs that have been on the market for a comparable time to the XPS 13.

Across similar types of portable PC the worst storage medium is HDD.
