Across all the comparable spec notebook PCs that were released more than two years ago the internal memorys range from 1GB to 16GB, and the average internal memory is 5.5GB.

Alternative 8GB internal memory laptops currently available which you might want to look at include because of it's better review score, the HP EliteBook Folio 1040, or the DELL Latitude 14 7000.

SSD Storage Media

The ZBook 14 has an SSD storage media which is better than the HDD storage media found on most laptops of this type and age. Solid State Drives (SSD) store data in semiconductors on a circuit board rather than using magnetic or optical media. Solid State Drives have no moving parts which makes them very fast and reliable.

An SSD storage media is in fact the best storage medium across all laptops of a similar age and spec to the ZBook 14.

Across comparable types of laptop the worst storage medium is HDD.

It may also be worth considering one of the alternative portable PCs that have an SSD storage media currently available including because of it's better review score, the ATIV Book 9, or the ATIV Book 9 both from Samsung or the DELL XPS 13.

Two HP ZBook 14 owners who reviewed this laptop considered that it was not heavy and bulky. Cadalyst.com said “The 8570w was priced at $2,786.) Although it won't replace your desktop workstation for the heavy lifting” in their review of the HP ZBook 14. Goodgearguide.com.au mentioned on Good Gear Guide.com.au “Better reliability for heavy workloads, be they video editing” in their review yet they gave the HP ZBook 14 a rating of 80 out of 100.

Poor Battery Life

One HP ZBook 14 reviewer who bought it thought it did not have a good battery life. Hardwarezone.com.sg said in their HP ZBook 14 review “For the most parts, these standards are mostly concerned with portability and battery life” however despite that they scored this laptop 4 stars.

Quite Slow On-Board Graphics Adapter Dynamic Frequency (max)
